Convertible High Chair Recall

Evenflo has recalled approximately 35,000 baby high chairs that convert into a toddler-sized table and chair. The high chairs, which are sold at Toys “R” Us and Wal-Mart stores, come equipped with an activity tray that can unexpectedly detach, creating a fall risk for unrestrained children.

Thus far there have been 18 reports of activity trays detaching without warning. Eight of those have resulted in injuries when children fell from the chair. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, these falls have only resulted in bumps and bruises.

The chairs affected by the recall were those sold between December 2011 and June 2012 for about $40 both in Toys “R” Us and Wal-Mart stores as well as online at Walmart.com and Wayfair.com. The recalled models are: the Dottie Lima 29111259, the Dottie Rosa 29111271, and the Marianna 29111234.

If you have one of these chairs and would like more information, contact Evenflo Monday through Friday at 800-233-5921 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. ET. Additional information is also available at http://safety.evenflo.com.

If you or a loved one have purchased, or your child has been hurt by an Evenflo Convertible High Chair, please contact Khorrami, LLP for a confidential evaluation of your rights.
