Dole Bagged Salads Recalled for Listeria

Dole is recalling approximately 2,500 cases of bagged salads due to contamination with Listeria. The exact product being recalled is the Dole Hearts of Romaine salad.  The salads were distributed in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.

Listeria causes illness when contaminated food is ingested. Symptoms of infection may include fever, muscle aches, gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea or diarrhea. The illness primarily impacts pregnant women and adults with weakened immune systems.

To check if your bagged salad was affected, identify the following printed code on the bagged salad product packaging:

Product Name:  Dole Hearts of Romaine

Code:  540N165112A or B

Use-by date: June 26

UPC: 714300095

All affected products should be discarded and not eaten.

If you or a loved one has been sickened by contaminated food, contact Khorrami, LLP for a consultation.
