GE Dishwasher Recall Blog

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and GE Appliances have recalled 4 models of GE Dishwashers. The recall pertains to GE, GE Adora, GE Eterna, GE Profile and Hotpoint dishwashers. It was determined that an electrical failure in the dishwasher’s heating element can pose a fire hazard. A total of 1.3 million of these dishwashers were sold nationwide in US stores from March, 2006 through August, 2009 for $350 to $850. The dishwashers were manufactured by GE Appliances of Louisville, Kentucky. Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled dishwashers, disconnect the electric supply by shutting off the fuse or circuit breaker controlling it and inform all users of the risk of fire. GE is offering all customers who bought the recalled dishwashers a free in-home repair or rebates for future GE appliance purchases.

If you have purchased a product and suspect that the product poses health or safety hazards, contact Khorrami, LLP for a confidential consultation.
