Forever Cheese, Inc Recalls Product in 11 States

Forever Cheese, Inc. is recalling their Ricotta Salata Frescolina brand cheese after learning the product may be contaminated with listeria, a bacteria that can cause food poisoning.

The recalled cheese can be identified with the lot #T9425 and production code 441202. The cheese was distributed among retailers and restaurants in CA, CO, D.C., FL, GA, IL, IN, MA, MD, ME, MT, NJ, NM, NY, OH, OR, PA, VA, WA between June 20 and August 9, 2012.  All distributors and retailers are being contacted in an effort to recall any and all remaining products in the marketplace.

The recalled cheese may be responsible for fourteen illnesses that have been reported in eleven different states. If you believe you have purchased this product, please contact your distributor or retailer for a full refund.
