Big Lots Recalls Garden Swings Due to Fall Hazard

The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has issued a recall alert for 6,900 Wilson & Fisher Garden Swings due to a potential fall hazard.

The recalled swing set features a log-style bench seat which is suspended between two wooden A-frame supports. The wooden seat can break while in use, posing a fall hazard to the consumer. Fourteen reports of swing seats breaking have been reported. Injuries include four back pain reports and five reports of scratches and scrapes to consumers.

The swing sets were sold exclusively at Big Lot stores nationwide from March 2012 through June 2012 for about $130. Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled swing sets, detach the bench seat and return it to any Big Lots store for a full refund.
