Kraft Issues Recall of String Cheese due to a Packaging Error

Kraft Foods Group has issued a voluntary recall of their as a precautionary measure after the company learned that thin layers of plastic film from packaging may stick to the cheese and pose a possible choking hazard.

The recall affects 2,700 cases and those marked with a “Best When Used By” date of Nov. 23, 2012. Kraft Jalapeño String Cheese products are sold in 12-ounce bags with 12 individually wrapped snacks inside.  So far, only one consumer complaint has been reported. Affected products can be returned to the store where they were purchased for an exchange or refund.
