Eddie Bauer Rocking Bassinets Recalled Due to Infant Suffocation Hazard

Dorel Juvenile Group, manufacturers of Eddie Bauer Rocking Wood Bassinets are recalling their product due to possible risk of infant suffocation. 97,000 bassinets are affected by this recall and a total of 17 incident reports have been filed.

The bottom locking mechanism that allows the bassinets to rock back and forth can fail to lock properly. When the locking mechanism doesn’t lock, the bassinet can tip to one side and cause infants to roll over and suffocate.

Bassinets with the model numbers below are affected by the recall:
10632
10639
10832
10835
10839
BT021

The Eddie Bauer Rocking Wood Bassinets were manufactured in China and sold nationwide at Target, Toys R Us, Sears, and online from December 2007 through January 2011 for about $150. Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled bassinet and contact Dorel to obtain a free repair kit.

If you have purchased a product and suspect that the product poses health or safety hazards, contact Khorrami, LLP for a confidential consultation.
