Baby Jogger Strollers Recalled Due to Fall Hazard

Baby Jogger is recalling 8,400 of their City Versa strollers due to a potential fall hazard. The company has received six reports of strollers collapsing but no injuries have been reported.

The Baby Jogger City Versa stroller is an adjustable stroller that allows parents the versatility to stroll with their baby facing them or their surroundings. The stroller is equipped with many features like dual swivel front wheels, adjustable handlebars, and quick fold technology which allows users to fold the stroller with one hand no matter what position the seat is facing. But due to a design defect, the stroller frame can fail to lock in place and collapse. When the stroller collapses, it is possible for the child to fall out.

The recall involves all Baby Jogger City Versa strollers manufactured between May 15 and August 20, 2012. City Versa strollers are sold nationwide and available on websites like and for $450. Consumers who purchased the City Versa Stroller should immediately stop using the recalled strollers and contact Baby Jogger for a free replacement stroller frame.
