Consumers Sue “Super Juice” Product Mona Vie for Bogus Health Claims in New Class Action False Advertising Lawsuit

A new class action lawsuit has been filed against Mona Vie Inc. and Mona Vie LLC, the makers of expensive “super juice” Mona Vie, for false and deceptive advertising. The lawsuit alleges the plaintiffs paid outrageously inflated prices for a product that was wrongfully marketed to cure health problems such as cancer and diabetes.

According to the complaint, plaintiffs purchased the product because they believed Mona Vie’s false representations that the product would provide “substantial prophylactic, healing, therapeutic and curative powers for an almost limitless universe of diseases and conditions.” Plaintiffs allege that the Mona Vie juice had been sold through a network of independent distributors who were taught to generate misleading testimonials attributing miracle medical breakthroughs to drinking Mona Vie juice.

Mona Vie was created by Dallin Larsen, the creator of “super juice” product Royal Tongan Lihu, which promised similar health benefits to Mona Vie, but was later taken off the market by the FDA because of false and misleading advertising.

The plaintiffs are now suing Mona Vie Inc. and Mona Vie LLC asserting fraud, consumer fraud, and unjust enrichment and seeking punitive damages and an injunction to halt the continued sale of Mona Vie juice. The case has been filed in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey on behalf of all consumers who have purchased the product.

California law prohibits corporations from making any false or misleading advertising claims to consumers.  If you or someone you know has been misled or harmed by false or deceptive claims about a product, contact Khorrami Boucher Sumner Sanguinetti, LLP for more information and a free consultation regarding your possible claims.
