Children’s Riding Toy Recalled Due to Fall Hazard

Step2 LLC is recalling 15,500 of their X-Rider Car after reports of children falling from the car and injuring themselves were reported.

The Step2 X-Rider Car is a riding toy for young children, ages 2 to 3. Children use their feet to propel the toy but a handle bar and seat are provided. If a child sits too far forward on the seat, they can go over the handle bar and hit the ground. Four injuries have been reported including one incident of a minor concussion.

The Step2 riding toy was manufactured in the United States and sold nationwide at retailers like Target from January through August 2012 for $25. Consumers should immediately take the recalled toy away from children and contact Step2 to receive a free replacement toy.
